All Progressive Congress, APC, was met by shock on Sunday, the 16th of February, when former president Olusegun Obasanjo refused to align himself with the general belief that he is a member of the new party and distanced himself from news that he had sympathies for them. This was revealed by interview Obasanjo gave at the London office of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation where he was celebrating the first anniversary of the body. He was quoted to have stated, "I've never left the PDP, I am a card-carrying member of PDP". He further declared that he has no intention of joining the APC. When he was continuously questioned as to the possiblity of him joining APC, baba recommended medical attention for those asking him about joining APC. Days of gallivanting in and out of U.S are over for Canadian-born singer Justin Bieber, after he was added on the US security homeland Security Watch list his two ongoing criminal cases. This means he will be constantly and promptly searched everytime he enters the states, reports TMZ. "...we are told Bieber is subject to the exact same treatment everytime he leaves and then re-enters the U.S -- a thorough search and then exhaustive questioning. 'Justin Bieber is not only out of control... he's hard-core stupid. He knew last week, before he took off for New Jersey-- his plane would get searched by U.S Customs yet he and his friends still hotboxed on the private jet. TMZ then confirmed: "the pilot radioed in the air Justin and his gang were smoking weed on the plane and the flight attendant couldn't get them to stop. The pilot complained the smoke in the cabin was thick. NBC News sayS the pilot actually had to don a gas mask because it was so bad."

Bianca Ojukwu, the wife of APGA's late National Leader, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, has yesterday the 6th of February 2014, been appointed the party's National Leader. This development was revealed by the party's leader, Chief Maxi Okwu at a National Executive Meeting in Abuja. "The National Executive Committee, of our great party reconfirms and further resolves the earlier decision taken on February 16, 2013  and on march 22, 2013, at the one year anniversary of the demise of our late leader and icon, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu... His wife and next of kin, Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, is hereby adopted as the living embodiment of his ideals. She shall in his stead be acknowledged as Leader. She is aware of the existing situation and she gave consent, and we adopted her. We still respect Governor Peter Obi as one of our Leaders, and he is also  aware of this development." Chief Okwu said.

Ex-Nigerian Olympic athlete, Ambrose Monye, has been sentenced for life in South Africa. He was sentenced alongside Andre Gouws for the murder of Channelle Henning. They were sentenced at the North Guateng High Court in Pretoria on wednesday as reported by Streetjournal. Both of them had previously denied for months before finally admitting to the murder of the 26-year old Channelle. She was shot in Faerie Gen, in the east of the Pretoria on November 8, 2011 after dropping her son at a creche, during which time she and her husband Nick Henning were locked in a custody battle. Back in 2011, Monye was acquitted of murder after he allegedly beat a man to death. The former athlete ran a security outfit, "Big Dog Security" but that wasn't sufficient to keep him off police radar for drug dealing.
