Laycon, has just emerged the winner of the 2020 edition of the popular TV reality show, Big Brother Naija.  The grand finale saw five of the twenty housemates that began the show, stand the chance to emerge the winner, but of course, only one would be crowned the winner. Vee, Neo, Nengi, Dorathy and Laycon were all hopeful of emerging the winner; they all left the house in that order...  Before the evictions began for the night, Biggy took his time to liven up the mood in the house, by calling the housemates one after the order and encouraging them for the future that lies ahead of them.  As the cameraman flashed his camera on the faces of the housemates, only Laycon appeared fazed by the grand finale event, as he was seen holding and crossing his hands in praying mood, oblivious of the fact that none of the finalists stood a chance against him.  Icons all over the globe, have began to pop champagne as

The veteran Nigerian, Israel Adesanya, has in the early hours of today defeated his opponent, Paulo Costa, via a knock out in just the second round during the encounter.  In a much anticipated fight between Adesanya and Costa, what was expected to be a strong contest for the Nigerian, turned out to be a simple exercise for the undefeated UFC Champion, as he defeated his opponent with a TKO inside the 2nd round.  Paulo Costa has now been added to a list of great fighters that the Nigerian has conquered to remain undefeated UFC middleweight Champion.  Congrats Izzy!!! 

In a more dramatic event in the ongoing BBNaija lock down edition, Ozo has been evicted from the show in a heartbreaking moment for his fans.  The shocker of eviction, saw Ozo's closest friend in the house, Nengi burst into uncontrollable tears.  That Monday night game, that saw Neo and Vee qualify for final five spot, while putting Ozo, Laycon, Dorathy and Trikkytee up for eviction, has to be the harshest occurrence in the Big Brother Naija show

The most predictable outcome of the eviction night at the ongoing BBNaija lock down edition, has just come to fruition.  When the four housemates put up for possible eviction was announced on Monday night, following the end of Head of House challenge, BBNaija fans all over the world, including this writer, predicted that Trikkytee would leave next in the ongoing reality TV show.  That prediction has been confirmed by the BBNaija host, Ebuka, who announced that Trikkytee was the next to leave, after asking Laycon to have his seat as he is safe. Who leaves next? Dorathy??? Ozo??  Fingers crossed!! 

The Premier League Champions, have this evening announced their acquisition of Bayern Munich midfielder, Thiago Alcantara in a bargain £20million deal, goal has reported.  The reds have pursued this deal all summer, after the midfielder made it known to the Bayern board that he would be leaving at the end of the previous season.  The La Masia academy brought up, spent Seven solid years with the German champions, winning many trophies. He earlier confirmed this deal yesterday on his social media accounts when he wrote a long emotional farewell message to Bayern and their supporters.  What a bargain deal Jurgen Klopp and his team just pulled off. 

Everton Football Club of England, has tonight confirmed their bargain purchase of Real Madrid midfielder, James Rodriguez in £22million deal.  The midfielder, who joined Real Madrid from Monaco, after years of successful football career at the French side, joined Real Madrid 6years ago, after a successful outing at the World Cup 2014, with Colombia.  Since signing for Real Madrid, the midfielder has struggled to cement a starting place to no avail, despite different coaches coming and going, which saw to him being loaned out on a number of occasions.  Now, former Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelloti, who is now the coach of Everton, has swooped to bring the player to his club on the cheap.  Welcome James! 

Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Trikkytee, has tonight emerged the Head of House for the first time since the commencement of the show.  The initial score in the Head of House game first saw Trikkytee on a tie with four other housemates, as the five of them all scored 30points. And there became a need for them to replay. The replay would see Trikkytee emerge the winner.  Trikkytee then quickly appointed Laycon as his deputy head of house. This means that Trikkytee, whom fans have predicted to exit BBNaija house next, would be in the house alongside Laycon, by the time the next eviction would be over.  Congrats gentlemen! 

The Sunday eviction night in the ongoing BBNaija lock down edition, has seen Lucy join the already evicted housemates in being sent out of the Big Brother House.  Prior to the eviction, six housemates were up for eviction following the nomination of fellow housemates on Monday night. The nominated housemates were Trikkytee, Lucy, Laycon, Vee, Nengi and Kiddwaya. 

Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica has just been disqualified from the show.  The disqualification came following her being issued with a third and final strike since the commencement of the show.  Big brother, cited her violation of the section 18 of the Big Brother Rules, after she was seen last night threatening fellow housemate, Laycon and calling him all sort of names.  Big brother told her that her verbal abuse on Laycon exceeded from mere insult to disrespect, which is a contravention of the said section 18. What a way to exit the big stage. 

Chelsea Football Club of England, has tonight confirmed the signing of German prodigy, Kai Havertz, from Bayer Leverkusen on a 5year deal.  The deal has been prolonged for too long, as fans started to get tired of waiting for his announcement. Leverkusen tried their best to get the best amount they could possibly get for their star midfielder and made the transaction difficult for Chelsea.  But the resilience of Chelsea's transfer guru, Marina Granavoskai, meant that Blues fans would laugh last, as they agreed with Bayer on £70million pounds for the player, which could rise to £89million in add-ons.  Congrats blues and welcome to England Kai. 

Manchester United, has this evening officially announced their acquisition of Dutch and Ajax midfielder Donny Van De Beek, in a deal worth £35million pounds.  He joins United on a five year deal, after a very successful spell with the Dutch Champions.  He will now form a formidable midfield trio with Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba to give United a fearsome looking midfield. 

Arsenal Football Club of England, has this afternoon announced their acquisition of Lille's Brazilian centre back, Gabriel Magalhaes, in a deal worth £25million, goal.com reported.  The gunners were initially in contention with Chelsea FC for the signature of the young Defender, but the blues interest diminished after they acquired Thiago Silva, also a Brazilian defender, from PSG on a free transfer.  Gabriel will now play for the gunners in the coming season having agreed 5years contract with the gunners, making him their 3rd major signing of the summer.
