Former Chelsea player, Mikel joins Stoke City on free transfer.

Former Chelsea Midfielder, John Obi Mikel, has this evening joined Stoke City Football Club of England on a free transfer. 

The Nigerian, who started last Season with Trabzonspor football club in Turkey, could not finish the season, as he left the club on protest, following their delay in adhering to covid-19 rules. 

He became a free agent since then, but has always had interest in coming back to England. 

He arrived England in the early hours of Monday morning for his medicals in Stoke city, before his transfer was officially confirmed by the club this evening.

What promised to be a clash of the Titans on the final day of the season, ended up seeing the Blues and the reds clinch the remaining two top 4 slots, as Leicester slipped down the log and into the Europa league. Official: Pedro joins Roma from Chelsea; as Kovacic wins Player of the season for Chelsea

Chelsea winger, Pedro, has this evening joined Italian top club AS Roma on a three year deal, following end of his contract with the blues.  Pedro, became a free agent after his contract with Chelsea expired at the end of the covid-19 protracted season. He took an achilles injury towards the end of the season, and that delayed his contract with the Italian team.  But the Italian club Roma, took to their official page to announce the three years contract with the Spaniard.  In the other breaking news, Matteo Kovacic has beaten competition from Mount, Pulisic and captain Azpilicueta to emerge Chelsea's Player of the season for the 2019/20 season.  Same votes by fans and teammates also see Tomori's strike against Wolves early in the season voted Chelsea's goal of the season, as Billy Gilmour emerged Young Player of the year. Juventus sack coach, Sarri. End of Sarri ball??

Juventus Football Club, has this afternoon fired their Manager, Maurizio Sarri despite winning the Italian Serie A, and after just one year of employing his services.  The sack came following Juventus' exit yesterday from the UEFA Champions League, at the hands of French Minnows Lyon FC.  The owners of Juve were not satisfied with the work of Sarri, despite winning the Serie A, which also saw Juventus clinch the title with their lowest point tally in their last 8 times of winning the title.  Maurizio Sarri joined Juve in July, 2019, from Chelsea, just after one year in Chelsea, after he failed to instil his famous Sarri-ball into the Chelsea squad, and he felt under-appreciated by the club.  Now, just after one year in Charge of Juventus, he has been fired. This also means bad luck for Chelsea, who had planned to ship Jorgingho to Juventus and back to Sarri, for him to continue his Sarri-ball, while they recoup money and add to their transfer wallet....
