The Future of this Nation lies in your hands - Peter Obi tells Youths.

The Former Governor of Anambra State, and ex-vice presidential aspirant under PDP, Mr. Peter Obi, has called on the Nigerian Youths, to take the affairs of the country seriously and grab every opportunity with both hands, as the progress of the country lies on their shoulders. 

Mr. Obi, made this call in a message, marking the International Youths Day, 2020, wherein he admonished the youths to start looking inwards for solutions to plethora of challenges the country is faced with. 

Mr. Obi acknowledged that the country has failed the youths, and the government, has often times failed to plan for the youths, the acclaimed leaders of tomorrow. 

He however, urged the youths to clear a path for themselves and change the narrative. 

"Today provides us another opportunity, as Nigerian Youths, to look inwards and ponder on ways we can contribute to build a better society for ourselves and generations unborn. Continued dependence on government to make plans for the youths might result in unrealized dreams. 

"This is therefore a wake-up call to the youths to understand that they are the hope of our nation, thus they should contribute more progressively to build the Nigeria of our dreams. I encourage them to also maximise every educational opportunity at their disposal and improve themselves to be able to compete with their global counterparts", Obi concluded.
