JUDICIARY: Court of Appeal loses one of its Judges.

The Court of Appeal, Ibadan Judicial Division, has lost one of its Judges, Hon. Justice Nonye Okoronkwo. 

The Late Justice Okoronkwo, who was until his elevation to the Court of Appeal, a High Court Judge of Imo State, was confirmed dead on Sunday morning, 26th July, 2020 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan after a failed Heart Surgery. 
My Lord, may your soul rest in peace.. Amen!

What promised to be a clash of the Titans on the final day of the season, ended up seeing the Blues and the reds clinch the remaining two top 4 slots, as Leicester slipped down the log and into the Europa league. The more lively encounter took place at the Stamford Bridge as the blues were two goals up within the first 45mins, courtesy of a sumptuous free-kick by wonder-boy Mason Mount into the top corner, followed up by a superb strike from Oliver Giroud in less than one minute after Mason Mount's opener, who also assisted the striker. Official: Pedro joins Roma from Chelsea; as Kovacic wins Player of the season for Chelsea

Chelsea winger, Pedro, has this evening joined Italian top club AS Roma on a three year deal, following end of his contract with the blues.  Pedro, became a free agent after his contract with Chelsea expired at the end of the covid-19 protracted season. He took an achilles injury towards the end of the season, and that delayed his contract with the Italian team.  But the Italian club Roma, took to their official page to announce the three years contract with the Spaniard.  In the other breaking news, Matteo Kovacic has beaten competition from Mount, Pulisic and captain Azpilicueta to emerge Chelsea's Player of the season for the 2019/20 season.  Same votes by fans and teammates also see Tomori's strike against Wolves early in the season voted Chelsea's goal of the season, as Billy Gilmour emerged Young Player of the year. Bethany England emerged Chelsea's female player of the year, after a wonderful season with the Chelsea ladies.

Juventus' title party delayed by disappointing loss to resilient Udinese

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri and his boys were in jubilant mood as they stepped onto the pitch tonight to tackle their Serie A opponent Udinese. The reason for the mood is not far-fetched. A win over Udinese today would have crowned them the champions of Italian Serie A for the 2019/20 season.  However,  a surprise was lying in wait for Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates as they stepped onto the pitch. In an impressive first half performance, Juventus took the lead in the 42nd minute via their young defender Mathias De Ligt as they entered the half time break 1-nil up and 45minutes away from being crowned Champions.  The 2nd 45minutes nonetheless were to be a different ball game as the home side Udinese levelled proceedings on the 52nd minute via Nestorovski to make it 1-1 on the night. From then onwards, it was a frustrating odyssey for Juventus as Udinese showed some resilient piece of defending to thwart all efforts from the awaiting Champions, before finally breaking their heart
